We give talks about two main topics:
- Stories from long-distance sailing and cruising
- Running a business with a clear purpose — including the importance of having a strong “Why” (inspired by Simon Sinek’s Golden Circle)
The talks are honest and down-to-earth. We speak about the real reasons many people stay in the hamster wheel longer than they need to, what it actually takes to step out of it, and how a well-chosen boat can be a realistic tool for a freer life after 50. We also share concrete experiences from living aboard, maintaining and upgrading an older motorsailer, and the daily realities of making the transition.
On the business side we talk about why a clear purpose matters, how it affects decisions, and how it can keep you motivated when the work gets hard.
Jarle has solid real-world business experience. He founded the company Bedre Inneklima AS, ran it successfully for 16 years, and eventually sold it in order to go sailing full-time. This background gives the business talks an authentic foundation — they are based on actual decisions, challenges and results, not just theory.

The tone of the talks is the same as on our YouTube channel: straightforward, personal, and based on real experience rather than polished theory.
Talks can be given to yacht clubs, sailing associations, companies, or private groups — in person or online.
