Nauticat Models – Classic Finnish Motorsailers
Nauticat is one of the most respected names in traditional motorsailers. Built in Finland by Siltala Yachts (later Nauticat Yachts), these boats are known for solid construction, protected pilothouses, and a practical approach to long-distance cruising and liveaboard life.
We live aboard a Nauticat 38 named Maja, and over time we are building a collection of honest information about the different models in the Nauticat family.

The Nauticat Philosophy
Nauticats were designed for people who want comfort and protection as much as they want to sail. They are not racing boats. They are heavy, sea-kindly vessels with a strong emphasis on:

Nauticat 33
The boat that started the brand. Smaller, more affordable, and still highly capable. A popular choice for couples who want the Nauticat concept in a more compact package.

Nauticat 36
A mid-size classic that sits comfortably between the 33 and the 38. The Nauticat 36 offers more space and capability than the smaller model, while remaining more manageable than the 38 for many couples.
